Singer Songwriter: David has been writing songs, playing guitar & singing professionally since the age of 10. His repertoire of music spans rock, jazz, folk, classical, progressive & metal. Besides playing in clubs, he has also appeared on television, played in concert venues & large festivals.

Guy Dupree

Guy played in bands in the Atlanta area. In the early 90’s he joined the

“Atlanta Songwriters Association” (which is GMIA Now) where he served as vice president for a time.

NASI member and lived on music row part time for three years.

Notable song accomplishments:

Finalist, tv show pilot “Hitmakers” featuring artist Wade Hayes and Larry Boone who

had hits by George Strait and Tracy Lawrence

Top 1% “Billboard World Song” contest out of 50,000 entries

1st and 2nd place “GMIA Best Of Country Showcase” 2007

Finalist “SESAC Showcase” in Nashville

Finalist “Louisville Area Songwriter Competition”

2nd place “Mountain Valley National Lyric Contest”

His song ‘Margarita Tan” was the 2nd single released recently on

Cowboy Gary Ragan’s Album “What good Are Dreams If They Never Come True”

The “Margarita Tan” video shot in the Philippines is slated to be released February 1st 2020.

We will have an exercise on

How to Write A Song with a Theme in mind. 

Reviewing and outline of what makes up the lyrics and how the music you choose effects the outcome of the finished product.

We will then engage in an exercise to apply theses rules.

The winner of the exercise will receive a copy of your performance on video.

So let's get ready the challenge.

Each ​Group will be given an assignment to write a song.

This is one of 3 sessions for 2019. The best song will be voted on by the group.

The top 3 will be voted on and the winner will be recorded with a music video and released as a single.​

Claudette King (BB King's Daughter will be our Special Guest Speaker and Performer. Sharing her story in song and her journey as the daughter of one of the

most well know Blues Singers. Now she is perusing her career songwriting Lyrics to tell her story.
